Looking for real estate on Daniel Island? You’ll be happy to know that there has been a lot of home building happening on the southern tip of the island. One development we are particularly excited about is John Weiland Homes’ Townsend Place Townhomes in the Smythe Park neighborhood. The development will include a total of 10 homes in two buildings. Square footages are slated to be just over 3,000 sq ft. The elevated three-story homes will each have three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a spacious third-story exterior viewing deck. Construction on the first building started February 2014 with a completion date of September 2014. The construction start date has not yet been announced for the second building. The price range for these homes is $609,900–$649,900.
The Townsend Place Townhomes feature a long list of amenities, such as:
- 10 ft ceilings on the first floors
- Optional elevators
- Stainless appliances and granite counters in the kitchen
- Hardwood floors and detailed millwork (including built-in bookshelves)

The Townsend Place Townhomes actually overlook one of Daniel Island’s newest parks, but the real estate in this area is so new that the road names were not yet showing up on Google maps in May 2014.
