Let Me Take You on a Driving Tour of The Business Section of Daniel Island…
As you come on to DANIEL ISLAND off of I-526, one of the first things you will see to your left is Governor’s Park. The park was developed jointly by the City of Charleston and Daniel Island and is a recreational space. You will also see the Family Circle Tennis Center and Stadium where the Family Circle Tennis Tournament takes place every year as well as concerts. On the right is the commercial area that includes shopping, dining and a Publix Grocery Store. Everything on Daniel Island is beautifully manicured. Luxury apartments are currently going up which will be very high end and rather expensive. Turning off the main road which is SEVEN FARMS, headed toward the river, there are more restaurants and commercial spaces. Directly ahead is the children’s play park. There are plans to develop this area into the largest marina in the Southeast, situated on the Wando River, which will also be partnered with the City of Charleston and the Daniel Island Company. Just down the river is the historic City of Charleston. Some of the aspects residents like are the beautiful vistas and walking trails which encompasses 23 miles. Oak trees that are up-lighted at night add to the landscape. Another area is DANIEL LANDING condos that have been redeveloped from apartments in 2005-2006. Next is 200 RIVER LANDING, 2 and 3 bedroom stucco facing condos with a pool and amenity center. It’s one floor living with elevators. If you are interested in a ‘lock and leave’ residence, these are a good choice.

These are top notch; far and away the best golf courses in the area. The first thing you will see on your left are THE PARK CLUB COTTAGES and these were built with a ‘lock and leave’ situation. There is clay court tennis, a fitness center and two pools. One of the pools is for adults and has a set-up for dining and a locker room that separates the next pool, more befitting families with children.
